Secret Sister gifts I can share now

For the past 4+ years, I have been involved in Secret Sister swaps with the same group of gals from all over the US.  We have all become very close and some are like bestest friends. Every year before Christmas we do one called the 15 Days of Christmas where we send 15 gifts to one SS and they also send to one and so on.  Anyway, I always like to make a personalized stocking for my SS and fill it as much as I can with the gifts I have purchased.  Now that our swap is over, I can share a few of the gifts that I made for her.

So here is the stocking personalized with her name.  And so you can see the design better, a close-up for you.

It was hard to get a bright shot of the dove with you being able to still see it properly.  I pulled the colors from the fabric and the feathers actually look layered like feathers.  This design is a Sue Box Creation available here.  Her designs are beautiful so be sure to browse around.
I also embroidered her a tea towel and dish cloth for using during the holidays or even just display.

Aren't they the cutest little guys.  I am so hooked on embroidery and personalization.

This little guy is one of my favorites.

And they are pretty cute too.

I especially wanted Cindy (my SS) to have her very own personalized stocking and she loved them and that's what counts:)  Glad you liked them Cindy {hugs}.
Since I wasn't able to "play" much after Christmas, I will be sharing projects that I did for the craft fair and before Christmas.  I hope to be playing this weekend or maybe today since it is my day off:)
Have fun today!

I Apologize............

I first, want to apologize for not being consistent in my posting before Christmas.  I have been a terrible blogger.  It got so busy and trying to stay caught up with orders and family stuff, I ran out of time.  I also started a new job which I absolutely love.  I will, however, be doing my best to keep up on my blogging from this point on.

With that being said, I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and that you were surrounded by family and friends.  We had a quiet Christmas, but lots of fun.  Saw some family and talked to others that were further away.  Nothing big planned for the new year except hanging with the kids and watching movies, and playing games.  I can't believe that Christmas came so fast and New Years' is almost here.  The time is flying by.

I do have something to share with you.  It was a custom order for a friend's neice for Christmas.  I absolutely love the colors and simplicity. They only wanted to use the three colors - black, white and kiwi, with a little bling.  Pretty huh?

Here is a close up of the bling and the embellishment.

And the inside, back cover.
Think I will be definitely making some more of these for my craft fair at the end of January.  I missed doing them and it felt good to be able to pull out all the supplies and create.

I do have some items to share with you tomorrow.  So hope you pop back tomorrow.  Enjoy your day and stay warm.

Let it Snow

Gonna keep this one short too but wanted to share the last of the gift card holders.  I love this image and have used it a few times. Got this one from M's.  So cute with the bird sitting on the snowman's nose. LOL

The inside. The paper was a little thin and was tearing on the seam so I had to get creative on how to hold it together.  I did it on both sides of the cardholder pocket.  Used the label punch from Stampin' Up! to hold the papers in place.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing them all.  I need to get crackin' and make some more.  This is the busy time for the quilt shoppe and I want to have lots for them at both stores.

Thanks for stopping by and will share some craft fair items tomorrow.

Unassembled Snowmen

This is one of my favorite sayings this time of year.  I love it.
Yes, another gift card holder to share with you.  Almost done showing them all.

See the fluffy toque brim, pompom and snow on the tree. I really like the 3d effect it shows.  This was a fun image to color. And the inside:
My favorite colors together.
That's it today - keeping it short and sweet.
Will have one more to show you and then I will show you some of my embroidery/craft fair items that I have been working on. I think I am addicted to embroidery now too:)
See you tomorrow and have a great week!

Sweet Angel

Another gift card holder for the quilt shoppe.  A sweet angel from the $1.50 bin at M's.  I love angels and thought she would look so cute on the front of one of these.  Here is a closeup:

See the sparkly wings and halo? And the inside:

I have to say I am really happy. I went in to the store the other day and they are all sold out.  Already.  Need to get busy and make some more - in my spare time.  LOL
I survived my first craft fair of the season at my daughters' school on the 20th.  Sold some things and got lots of orders too which I have been trying to get filled. We were busy from start to finish even though it was cold and snowing.  My cousin even dropped in from Vancouver with her family and it was so awesome to see her:)  Obviously she didn't come up to only see me, but she did stop in.

This past week has been hard.  I did something I have never done before nor would I even consider doing it.  I pulled myself out of the craft fair this past Saturday.  I was fighting migraine all week and stressing cause everything I tried to do wasn't turning out the way I wanted or I was making mistakes.  I didn't feel I would be ok at the craft fair so I opted to not go.  I felt so much better too.  I am, however, getting ready now for the next one on the 4th of December.  SO if you are in the area, drop in to Rutland Centennial Hall.  Everything is hand-crafted. Should be lots of fun and busy I hope.  Let's just hope that all my projects don't mess with me this week. LOL
I should run and get busy - hope to see you at the fair.  And thanks for stopping by...........I missed ya'll.

Nestled Together

Today is going to be a short post.  Craft fair tomorrow and still lots to organize.

This is a cute little card and they are all nestled in the Santa hat waiting for the big guy to arrive.  I added glitter to the hat trim and top.  Looks really cute in real and I hope you can see the glitter on the snowflakes as well.

I used the Textured Flurry embossing folder from Stampin' Up!  Then sponged some Baja Breeze over the raised part and added stickles.  Sorry I totally forgot about taking a photo of the inside.  Don't know how I missed that LOL.  Tired I guess.

Thanks for stopping by today and I will check in tomorrow but it may be later.  If I survive the fair
:)

Teddy Bear Christmas

Another gift card holder to share with you.  One of my favorites and he was so fun to color.

I used Old Olive and Real Red cardstock and the Scalloped oval punch from Stampin' Up! is layered on Regal Rose.  It looks very vibrant and Christmasey - is that a word?

And here is the inside to match:

Almost looks like a quilt huh.  I should have done some stitching on them come to think of it and then it would.  Maybe the next one.
I checked on their supply and they need more.  I didn't do too many this time around since I needed to get on my craft fair stuff, but this will be some of my next projects in between.

Must be off - too much to do. Have a great day:)  Hoping the snow stays away for a little bit longer. Thought for sure it was falling tonite but just more rain.  We are expecting it for Saturday.  Of course, my craft fair day!

Happy Holidays

It's hump day already...............

This little guy is so adorable sitting in the bag with all the presents and he's a fairy elf.  You can see the stickles I added to the wings just barely and around the image on the snowflakes.  I used a glazed pen on his fur on the hat, rather than flock this time.  It adds a subtle 3d effect to it, as well as the candy cane.
I made the image a little larger so you could see the details.

And the inside:

That's it.  Short and and sweet.  Gotta run and keep on with my craft fair items.  Enjoy your evening.

Blue Christmas

Boy the days are flying by.  Typical when you are prepping for something and the hours just fly by.  Just not enough time in a day for me.  I always worry I won't have enough stock for the craft fairs and to be honest, I  would rather have more than I need.  We'll see how the next few days go.

Anyway I want to share with you one of my favorites.  This is Elvis in Blue Christmas.  I have been a fan since I was a little girl and seen all his movies.  So when I found a stamp with him, I had to get it. I only have the one so I need to find more of him. LOL  Funny, when I took it to the quilt shoppe, so many of the ladies loved this one the best.  Obviously fans too. I did end up doing 3 orders of this card:)

Baja Breeze layered under the image and popped up on Early Espresso.  I really like the deep color. Stickles added for the snow and coarse glitter on the snowflake.

Thanks for stopping by.

Snowman Float

I missed a day................oops!  Hope you all had a great weekend.

I want to share another gift card holder that I did for Linda's Quilt Shoppe.
Isn't this little guy cute?  I added some Liquid Applique and puffed it up with my heat gun for the whip cream.

Here you can see it better.  And glittered candy to embellish with a little bit of red flock on the cherry..

And the inside pocket holds the gift card.

That's it for today.  I'm working like crazy trying to prep for my first craft fair of the season at my daughter's school on Saturday.  If you are close by, make sure you pop by and do some christmas shopping.  We have an awesome variety of crafters and vendors. This Saturday, November 20th from 10-3 pm.
Hope to see you there:)

Gotta get more of these done for my craft fairs. Can't believe it's coming so fast.  Gotta get my butt in gear!
Have a great weekend:)

Little Angel

Almost a month ago, my dad called to tell us that their 2 yr old puppy was playing outside and was playing with a bee when she got stung in the esophagus.  Her esophagus was swelling shut and then she started having other problems.  Dad took her to the vet and that afternoon, she died in his arms. It was devastating for them.

They got a new puppy just a couple of days ago.  She sounds like a real cutie.  She is 9 weeks old, her name is Misty, and a Yorkie Shih Tzu cross.  She apparently only stands about 5" tall and is black and white but they can see the brown coming through. I haven't seen her yet, but I did make her a little fleece coat to wear while it is cold outside. We wanted to do one for christmas, but since she needed it now, I made a real quick one and told dad that she will get her real nice one with her other gifts.

Here is the inside:

I don't normally make cards for getting a new puppy, but sine they lost their last one Cuddles so suddenly, I wanted to cheer them up. I know just having Misty around keeping them busy will help a lot.

Tomorrow if you can join me, I will be sharing some Christmas cards.  Time to get pushing with these.

Happy Remembrance Day!!

Keep in Touch

Hey friends,  got my computer back late yesterday afternoon and didn't get it set up til late.  So that should take care of everything.  Crossing my fingers.

Today I wanted to share with you another of the "black cat" cards.  Fairly simple.  A little bit of stickles in the center of the flowers using the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder from Stampin' Up!  Layered on Kiwi Kiss with Whisper White.

Ok, so remember my Hibiscus tote I showed you.  Another girlfriend of mine ordered two of them.  I had these fabrics in my collection and actually was going to make myself one.  Once she saw them, she loved them so much and ordered two.  Great minds think alike:)

They are exactly the same except on is blue handle and the other is brown. I'm going to go get me some more of these fabrics before they are gone.  I still love them and want one for me:)  The Texture Magic is the product used on the bottom brown panel. So much fun to use.

So that's it for today.  I hope you will pop back tomorrow.  I have LOTS to share and now that I have my computer, I should be getting back to normal postings.  Yeah - and thank you all for your patience.

Off to do some more for the craft fair.  Isn't it funny when your prepping for these events, orders start coming in?

Have a good one:)
